TROY MICR 9000 Secure Ex printers offers the industry's only end-to-end solution for securely printing checks and other MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) documents for production and distributed business printing environments. TROY begins with the world's most dependable printers and combines robust printing capabilities with fraud-deterrent safeguards, easy-to-use Windows-friendly management, custom-engineered MICR fonts and toner, with additional operational safeguards to ensure quality and control.

End-to-End Security

MICR applications demand high security, and TROY MICR Secure Ex printers offer the best in the world. The data stream is encrypted. Access to MICR is password protected, as is access to the printer's control panel itself. A unique three-position MICR keylock controls access to the printer, and input tray locks protect check paper. And there's more. A user-settable time-out for MICR functions has been implemented. TROY's enhanced auditing tool allows administrators to capture and audit critical data such as the MICR line, payee name, amount, issue date, and authorized user name. And if anything goes wrong in the printing process—the data file is fraudulently diverted or an improper MICR font is downloaded—a user-defined message, such as "VOID" appears across the face of the check. For post-printing document security, checks can be protected from alteration through a unique TROYmark™ feature that repetitively prints payee name and amount or other key data in the check background.

At 50 pages per minute, TROY's MICR 9000 Secure Ex printer is a versatile, robust, production-class, high speed, high capacity financial document printer ideal for large-volume applications or for time-critical print windows. Capable of supporting back office production office check printing applications—printing the first page out in less than 8 seconds, and 3,000 8 ½" x 11" documents per hour. Designed for high-volume production environments or the most demanding general office environment, the MICR 9000 Secure Ex printer features a duty cycle of 300,000 pages per month and comes standard with three network interface slots.

Versatile paper handling features support management of securely switching between check printing and general office printing. Electronic paper tray remapping and lock out tools are standard, making the MICR 9000 Secure Ex ideal for printing from multiple accounts. The printer's two built-in locking 500-sheet paper trays are adjustable for standard and nonstandard paper sizes. And with full support of HP LaserJet 9000 options and accessories, the printer can be fully configured to meet high production demands and to seamlessly combine with other applications.
